Health Guarantee at Little Paws Schnauzers
Welcome to Little Paws Schnauzers
At Little Paws Schnauzers, we are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of our cherished companions and the satisfaction of our clients. Our commitment to quality extends to every aspect of our breeding practices, and we take comprehensive measures to uphold the health and integrity of our Schnauzer puppies.
Genetic Testing
To ensure the genetic health of our breeding dogs, each one undergoes DNA testing for common hereditary conditions such as hip dysplasia, patellar luxation, and certain eye disorders. Additionally, we conduct thorough OFA tests covering hips, elbows, eyes, and heart.
30-Day General Health Guarantee
Upon the delivery of your puppy, we provide a 30-day general health guarantee. We encourage you to schedule a prompt veterinary examination during this period. If you have any questions or concerns, our team is here to assist you.
Hip/Elbow Dysplasia and Congenital Eye Defect Guarantee
Our commitment to your satisfaction extends beyond the initial weeks. We offer a guarantee against hip/elbow dysplasia and congenital eye defects for up to 26 months of age. In the unfortunate event of a diagnosis by a board-certified veterinarian and OFA grading, we will apply the full purchase price towards the acquisition of another puppy (excluding shipping costs).
Lifetime Guarantee for Hereditary Disorders
For specific hereditary conditions such as hip dysplasia and certain eye disorders, we provide a lifetime guarantee. If your Schnauzer is diagnosed with any of these conditions, supported by written proof from two veterinarians, we will apply the full purchase price towards another puppy. Please note that this guarantee excludes carriers.
Qualification for Guarantee
To qualify for our guarantee, it is essential to maintain the well-being of your puppy/dog. Ensure they are not subjected to malnourishment, abuse, injury, or transferred to another owner/breeder, as any of these conditions will void the guarantee.
Owner’s Responsibility
While we stand behind the health of our puppies, it is important to note that vet bills and other related expenses are the owner’s responsibility. Our puppies are sold as pet quality only, with no guarantees regarding disposition, conformation, size, weight, color, markings, hunting, or breeding abilities.
Crisis Assistance
Understanding that life can present unexpected challenges, we extend our support during times of hardship or major crises. If circumstances make it difficult for you to care for your Schnauzer, we offer assistance in placing your puppy/dog in our home until a suitable forever home is found. We urge you to avoid surrendering your dog to a shelter. Please note that no refunds or replacements will be given in such cases.
Puppy Socialization & Training Support
At Little Paws Schnauzers, we believe that early socialization is key to raising well-adjusted dogs. Our puppies are introduced to various environments, sounds, and people from an early age to ensure they are confident, friendly, and adaptable. Additionally, we provide training tips and resources to new owners, covering basic commands, crate training, and housebreaking to help you get off to a great start with your new companion.
Nutrition and Feeding Guidelines
We prioritize the health of our puppies by feeding them high-quality, breed-appropriate diets. Upon adoption, we provide you with a detailed feeding plan tailored to your puppy’s growth stage and nutritional needs. We also recommend trusted brands and portion sizes, helping ensure your puppy continues to thrive in their new home.
Vaccination and Deworming Schedule
Every Little Paws Schnauzer puppy comes with up-to-date vaccinations and deworming. We follow a strict schedule to protect our puppies against common canine diseases. A record of these treatments will be provided, along with recommended future vaccination dates, so your vet can continue proper care.
Puppy Care Package
To make the transition smoother for your new Schnauzer, we send each puppy home with a care package. This includes a blanket with the scent of their littermates, a sample of their current food, a favorite toy, and a guide to help new owners manage the first few days and weeks.
Ongoing Breeder Support
At Little Paws Schnauzers, our relationship with new owners doesn’t end once the puppy leaves. We offer lifetime support to answer any questions you may have about training, health, and general care. Whether you need advice on diet changes or behavioral guidance, we are here to assist you in raising a healthy and happy Schnauzer.
Puppy Updates and Developmental Milestones
We provide regular updates to prospective owners about their puppies’ growth and development. Weekly photos, videos, and progress reports will be shared so that you can witness key milestones such as weaning, playtime, and social interactions before your puppy arrives home.
Travel and Shipping Information
For those unable to pick up their puppy in person, we offer safe and reliable puppy delivery options. We collaborate with experienced pet transporters to ensure your Schnauzer arrives healthy and stress-free. Additionally, we provide detailed guidance on preparing your home for their arrival after transport.
Spay/Neuter Recommendations
To promote responsible pet ownership, we recommend spaying or neutering your Schnauzer by the age of 6 months unless you plan to use them for breeding in line with responsible practices. We provide advice on the best time for the procedure, benefits for your puppy’s health, and guidance on post-surgery care.
Adoption Process Transparency
We pride ourselves on transparency throughout the adoption process. You’ll receive clear information about pricing, available puppies, waiting lists, and any additional costs. Our team is available to answer questions and help match you with a puppy that fits your family’s lifestyle and needs.
Lifetime Community Membership
When you adopt a Schnauzer from Little Paws, you become part of our extended family. We encourage owners to join our online community, where you can connect with other Schnauzer enthusiasts, share updates, ask questions, and even participate in occasional meetups or events.
